Our Internal Control kits can be used alongside our genesig kits or your own assay, either as a full workflow control to confirm the extraction efficiency and quality of extracted sample, or as an internal run control for the qPCR reaction itself.
The RNA template serves as an exogenous control that is spiked into the sample during the extraction process or into the PCR reaction mix.
The primer/probe mix included in the kit allows detection of the RNA template in the qPCR reaction, without interfering with the detection of the main target.
A number of different dyes are available so that a suitable channel can be used to detect the internal control alongside your main assay. Please select a dye that reads through a separate channel than your main target.
Please note, kits with a ‘LL’ suffix use a different internal control sequence and are mainly recommended for applications using samples derived from rat, for fast cycling conditions, or in workflows where the standard internal control assay may not be suitable.
