For demonstration or training purposes, the genesig Easy AnimalFINDER Demonstration Kit provides a simple, slick demonstration of genesig q16 AnimalFINDER work flow. The kit includes 4 DNA samples that mimic "real world samples". Upon analysis, three of the samples yield positive identification of the demo target (at low, medium and high concentrations). The fourth will mimic a negative signal.
The protocol is identical to all other genesig Easy AnimalFINDER Kits, thus demonstrating how incredibly simple the kits and instrument are to use.
The genesig Easy AnimalFINDER Kits are designed for the real-time PCR detection of animal derived material primarily in non-animal samples such as pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. There is a wide selection of species-specific kits available.
Intended for use with the genesig q16 real-time PCR instrument, the kit is designed to have the broadest detection profile possible whilst remaining specific to the animal genome in question. All AnimalFINDER kits have the same genesig q16 cycling protocol to allow multiple species to be tested during one run.
The inclusion of an internal extraction control template allows the user to definitely confirm the absence of animal material in cosmetic and pharmaceutical products when no animal DNA is present.
All kinds of sample material suited for nucleic acid extraction can be used. Please ensure the extracted nucleic acid is suitable in terms of purity, concentration, and DNA integrity. For DNA extraction we recommend the genesig Easy DNA/RNA Extraction Kit, or the genesig Easy LysoBead Direct-to-PCR Extraction Kit.
