Job title: Customer Service Representative - Global

Main duties and responsibilities:

To develop the Rest of the world (ROW) business and increase revenue by offering the necessary support to drive sales.

Job Summary:

  • £18k-£22k plus commission; full-time
  • Providing administration support for the ROW sales team.
  • Managing sales follow-ups (quote/sample/order) globally.
  • E-mail inbox management – Enquiry, Support etc.
  • Logging Customer feedback.
  • Preparing quotes.
  • Farming activity to help retain existing client base.
  • Managing conference participation.
  • Provide very basic technical support for incoming traffic.
  • Proving support for marketing projects through knowledge of customer base.
  • CRM organisation for the team – appointments, tele-conferences, opportunities relating to team members, project chase ups.
  • CRM data management – account management, contact management.

Job title: Technical Sales Representative

Due to the success within sales, we are looking to expand the UK sales team and want to recruit a Technical Sales Representative to join our substantial team of friendly experts.

Job Summary

  • Field based sales role (OTE up to £35k uncapped)
  • Field based (covering South of UK)
  • Competitive basic salary plus car allowance, mobile phone, laptop, pension scheme, 25 days holiday

Main Duties

To maintain and develop relationship with clients to increase sales. 

The Role:

Job title: Content Marketing Manager                

Job Summary

A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our team at the Southampton office as a Content Marketing Manager. The Content Marketing Manager will provide technical and marketing writing for Primerdesign’s world-class range of products both online and offline, and will support social marketing with the aim of building customer engagement. The ideal candidate has a BSc in Life Science (or PhD) with experience in writing engaging technical copy, with an active interest in social media.

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Create engaging technical and marketing content for sales material, website, social media channels, blogs, digital ads, newsletters, handbooks, and other technical literature
  • Prepare content for life science, molecular diagnostics, and applied testing market segments, e.g. qPCR, and infectious diseases
  • Develop and implement social media strategy and communications
  • Post content on social channels and track customer engagement (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and Blog sites)
  • Create excitement on social media around our participation of conferences; with co-creation of content with speakers / attendees
  • Manage the social media budget for promoted posts and paid advertising activities
  • Prioritise, plan, and manage multiple content development projects simultaneously according to deadlines
  • Assist with ad hoc authoring, editing and proofreading tasks
  • Communicate effectively and ensure alignment between stakeholders

Qualifications and experience required

  • Demonstrable ability to write concise technical copy, and engaging marketing content
  • A good understanding of molecular biology concepts, current trends, and hot topics
  • In-depth knowledge of qPCR is essential; BSc in Life Science required (PhD in Life Science preferred)
  • Experience of social media and/or blogging for a scientific audience is desirable
  • Good attention to wording, punctuation, and scientific nomenclature and units
  • Experience of MS Office (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)

Main duties and responsibilities

To develop relationship with clients using the telephone and other types of digital tools to actively increase sales, within a defined region. The activities of this role will be measured by the achievement of agreed sales targets. The successful individual will also be expected to play an active role supporting Sales and Marketing colleagues. 

Job Summary:

• Office based sales role (up to £25k basic +commission)
• Using telephone and digital tools to drive sales growth
• Development, refinement and implementation of successful telephone/customer scripts
• Data mining/account hunting activity to drive growth;
• Account management to retain existing client base;
• Managing accounts, with a large focus on developing new sales and expanding customer base
• Target, identify and secure new customers and accounts
